In August 2009 Chloe, aged 6 years old was diagnosed with Philadelphia Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. She received 6 months of intense chemotherapy, total body irradiation and a bone marrow transplant which had many long term side effects including delayed learning and early menopause.
In May 2017 Chloe was diagnosed with another cancer, this time in her parotid gland. She had major surgery to have the tumour removed in June which has resulted in facial disfigurement including losing use of her lip.
Ben’s Heroes Trust has provided the family with a grant to assist them in taking Chloe to the States to receive Proton Beam Therapy. She’s currently in the States to receive the treatment, this will cause her to lose her hearing, but as her family says it’s a price you have to pay.
"Thanks so much for your help."
