These events are ultimately organised to raise money for Ben’s Heroes Trust. We ask each entrant to target £200 sponsorship which can be collected by using the paper sponsorship form, available on request, and/or online through Virgin Money Giving.
Each team needs to organise there own transportation. It is mandated that the driver(s) are not walking and for your safety we impose a minimum travel time between each mountain to deter people from speeding. It is highly advisable that you rest between mountains, so changes of clothes, pillows etc. are recommended.
Stopping to eat large meals on the mountains is not recommended therefore stock up on energy food and drinks that you can quickly snack on when walking in order to keep your energy levels up.
Walking boots, good socks, small rucksack (25 litres), waterproof top and trousers, fleece or warm top, hat and gloves, whistle, head and hand torch, water bottle (min of 1.5lts) and telescopic walking sticks (Recommended). Also a complete change of clothes for each mountain is a very good idea!
2 Maps, 2 compasses, 2 radios (provided by us) GPS and 2 first aid kits must be carried by each group.
